Prosecco Ristorante

Location:Chicago, Illinois
Client: Prosecco

Project description: Deriving its name from the Italian village near Trieste, where the grape and wine originated, Prosecco Ristorante is a newly renovated restaurant in the heart of Chicago's River North. The client, Executive Chef/Partner Mark Sparacino, wanted to revitalize the dining experience for his longtime customers, new visitors, and residents.

Our Interior Design Studio was tasked with the challenge of keeping the strong family history alive while creating a light and airy space that alludes to a formal and welcoming Italian trattoria. Existing hand-painted ceilings, small open windows, and unique curated Italian artifacts, combined with refined elements, solid wood tabletops, and an open concept chef's kitchen communicate the restaurant's casual design.

The design juxtaposed warm greys and blues with a white marble bar top, evoking styles of a high-fashion cosmopolitan city like Milan. Large panelized windows bring light into the entrance, highlighting a carefully crafted history wall, telling the guest an entire story before they embark on an Italian journey into the restaurant. The luxurious interior design employs a dark palette to give diners a sense of privacy and exclusivity.
