The Montage

Location:Reno, Nevada
Client: L3 Development
Project description: Antunovich Associates collaborated with L3 Development on the adaptive reuse of the former Golden Phoenix Hotel and Casino in downtown Reno, Nevada, and converted the complex into a premier residential building containing 388 units. The complex originally contained a sixteen story hotel tower with a penthouse restaurant, three levels of the casino, and three below ground levels containing in excess of 600 parking spaces. The new residential building converted the lower three casino floors into five residential living floors. Walk-up two story townhomes were developed around the perimeter of the base. The third through sixth floors were developed as three level residential units.

The sixth floor was developed as a spectacular outdoor garden and swimming pool for use by all residents complete with a party room and exercise room amenities. The tower was completely renovated to accommodate 19 condominium units per typical floor (16 floors in all). Two new penthouse levels were developed containing 20 units, replacing the existing restaurant. The exterior of the new residential building was redesigned in a modern vernacular to celebrate the exciting rebirth of downtown Reno.
