Vista Property Group is proposing an innovative new office building that will infill an existing mid-block surface parking lot at 601 West Randolph Street in the West Loop. The new 15-story office building will be incorporated into a Planned Development with the existing orange-rated 601 West Randolph Street building. This 1890s, 4-story, mill-construction loft building will be retained in place, maintaining its’ elegant presence at the southwest corner of West Randolph Street and North Jefferson Street. The new 15-story building will have a striking 20-foot high office entry lobby at 609 West Randolph Street. The building will provide state-of-the-art boutique office spaces with expansive glazing that offers unique views for all tenants. An amenity floor at the top of the building will include a lounge, meeting rooms, workout facility, locker rooms and an outdoor terrace for use by all tenants.
The architecture of the new office building is comprised of a contemporary loft vernacular that relates to the traditional masonry façades of 601 West Randolph and neighboring buildings. The building will be designed to the highest level of sustainable practices consistent with WELL Building development and LEED building registration. The building site’s proximity to the Ogilvie Metra Station, Clinton Green Line and several CTA bus lines reinforces local connections, encouraging the use of public transportation.
